How the fair value is built

Start from the typical 182N, then adjust for this airplane.

What you see

Every airplane,
explained with real numbers

Price, fair value, engine time, avionics and condition on one card, plus the charts that show where it sits in its market. No more guessing from a phone photo and three lines of text.

Stop scrolling ten marketplaces. Start with the five airplanes worth a phone call.

The problem

Ten tabs, three prices,
one airplane

The same Skylane is listed on four sites at three prices. Half the ads skip engine time, and a turbo 182 gets compared with one without. So you spend weekends in spreadsheets and still wonder if the price is fair.

Shopping on your own

  • A fair value range from real comparables

What you get

Know the right price
before you pick up the phone

AI reads every listing like a careful buyer: engine, panel, paint, interior and damage history.

Every listing, one airplane

The same aircraft posted on three sites counts once. We match it by N number, serial number and listing details, and keep its full price history.

Compared only with true peers

A 182 is never priced against a T182. Turbo, retractable and diesel variants each get their own comparables, so the fair value means something.

Engine time and avionics priced in

AI reads every ad for hours since overhaul, panel upgrades, paint, interior and damage history, then adjusts the value with real overhaul costs.

Price cuts and sales, the same day

See when a seller drops the price and which airplanes left the market, with their last asking price. That is your best read on what really sells.

What does Prebuy with AI do?

It collects used airplane listings from 10 US and Canadian marketplaces every morning, merges the ads that belong to the same airplane, and gives each one a fair value range based on comparable airplanes. You get a ranked list of the airplanes worth a call.

Which airplanes does it cover?

Today: Cessna 172 Skyhawk, Cessna 175 Skylark, Cessna 177 Cardinal, Cessna 182 Skylane, Cessna 206 Stationair, Piper Cherokee 180 and Archer, Piper Arrow, Piper Dakota, Grumman Traveler, Cheetah and Tiger. Each model is split into its exact variants, so a turbo, a retractable or a diesel never sets the price for a standard airplane.

Where does the data come from?

Public listings on 10 marketplaces in the United States and Canada, plus the FAA aircraft registry to confirm make, model and year by N number. Prices in Canadian or Mexican dollars are converted to US dollars.

How is the fair value calculated?

We compare each airplane with others of the same variant and adjust for year, engine time against TBO, overhaul cost, avionics and damage history. You see the range, how many comparables it used and why the airplane landed where it did.

What does the AI actually do?

It reads each listing the way a careful buyer would: engine hours since overhaul, avionics upgrades, paint and interior condition, damage history and anything the seller buried in the description. Those details feed the valuation.

Does this replace a prebuy inspection?

No. It tells you which airplanes deserve one. Always have an independent A&P mechanic with Inspection Authorization inspect the airplane and review the logbooks before you buy.

How often is the data updated?

Every morning. New listings, price cuts and airplanes that leave the market show up the same day. Sales are only flagged after the listing page confirms it, so a site that fails to load never counts as a sale.
